Ludwig Tanchez

Ludwig Tanchez

Tanchez is a local artist whose work reflects much of his upbringing in the Guatemalan culture. He takes pride in creating pieces that reflect both his ancestry as well as painting scenes of the Chicago cityscape.

While growing up in the Logan Square neighborhood, his passion for art began when he joined the Logan Square Boys and Girls Club and was mentored by Colombia College artist Jose Berrios. Under Berrios’ tutelage Tanchez and other local artists have completed several murals in areas including Little Village, Pilsen, Bricktown, Humboldt Park, and Logan Square.

Tanchez is currently working as a freelance artist.
